Sarah is a partner in the Halifax office of McInnes Cooper practicing in taxation and corporate/commercial law. She was called to the bar in Nova Scotia (2001) and Prince Edward Island (2012). Her practices includes tax planned structuring relative to trusts, reorganizations and succession planning; as well as secured transactions and purchases and sales of businesses. Sarah belongs to the Canadian Bar Association, Nova Scotia’s Barristers’ Society, and Canadian Tax Foundation. She currently serves as a governor of King’s-Edgehill School and chairs the governance committee. Sarah earned her B.A. (Economics) from the University of Guelph (1995) before receiving her LL.B from Dalhousie University (2000). She has also completed Parts I, II, and III of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) In-depth Tax Course.
